I wish people wouldn’t always talk about themselves all the time and all things they’re doing. It’s always me, me, me. Like this man, John Hartnett who sent me an email, a text, a voicemail and a carrier pigeon with a tiny banner attached to his tail like the kind the airplanes fly over the beach to advertise Captain Morgan’s Rum only much smaller, just to make sure I listened to some radio show he’s doing today with Don Mcgee, the host of Mixed Bag on WFUV at 5:35 eastern time to read excerpts and discuss his book, “The Barber’s Conundrum and Other Stories“. I don’t know how he expects me to listen to 90.7 fm in New York or listen live via streaming on WFUV, when I still have all theses dishes to wash. And believe me, I wasn’t blowing my own horn when I told you that I do these dishes by myself. It just happens to be a fact. So anyway, how are you?

I've always depended upon the kindness of strangers because as long as you don't know their names or where they live, you never have to spend money on thank you notes or gifts. Not much to tell, really. When I was born, my parents placed me in a small wooden boat and pushed me out into the center of the Pulaski Skyway where I was rescued and ultimately raised by a pair of opposums. Sadly, they died when I was very young. At least I think they died. From there I joined the Merchant Marines and was the only toddler in World War II to sink a Japanese battleship while being burped. When I returned to the states, I got a job at Gimbels Department Store and have been there ever since even though they went out of business in 1986. I have always valued loyalty over money and if that's wrong, talk to my wife. You'd get along famously.

It’s always a challenge for me to find the line between trying to reach out and inform people who might be interested in my book, Kickstarter campaign, salsa lessons (no I don’t really give salsa lessons) and being annoying horn blower. Still haven’t found the line
I know. It’s not my nature but with this self publishing thing, if not you, who? I’ve been doing a lot of outreach to build my twitter following and the bulk of them are writers all trying to sell their own book. I’m sure if Dante were around today he could have added four or five circles of hell just associated with social networking and being “online” 24/7. Well, I’ll follow you on Twitter and you can follow me on Twitter and we can spend the next couple of months trying to get each other to buy our books. If we both purchase them at the same time it’ll be a draw and we’ll have to write another one and try it again. Look, I just invented my very own circle of hell! Better start getting the word out…
Thanks for taking the time to post a comment by the way!
